Abstract:
The article discusses the proposals of the development of ethno-cultural competence of students at the universities of the Federal Penal Service of Russia, the methods and conditions of education of ethnic and cultural tolerance through the introduction of ethno-cultural component in a variety of academic disciplines, as well as the organization and implementation of extracurricular work in the educational process of modern scientific models, aimed at creating ethnic and cultural tolerance among cadets. Summarizing, we can conclude, that the development of the ethno-cultural competence of students at the universities of the Federal Penal Service of Russia can be implemented in different organizational forms. The introduction in the educational process of modern scientific models aimed at the development of ethnic and cultural tolerance among students is considered as one of the important directions of correction of the negative effects of cross-cultural relations. As a result of the development of ethno-cultural tolerance of future workers of correctional institutions respect for others and tolerance should be formed
