THEORETICAL BASES OF THE CONCEPT OF TOLERANCE

An object of research is the tolerance as a general scientific phenomenon. During clarification of the nature of tolerance the etymology of the considered word is analysed, the main concepts of representatives of various sciences are stated. The importance of tolerance for modern society is defined. The problem of limits of tolerance is staticized. The question of application by analogy of the limits of tolerance used in biology, medicine, the equipment, in the public relations reveals. It is defined that in public systems criteria have estimated character. Importance of sanctions function of tolerance is noted. It is raised the question of legal tolerance. The methodological basis of a research is made by a dialectic method. In the course of carrying out a research such methods as the comparative, system analysis and others were used. The main conclusions of the conducted research are determination of tolerance as scientific category which serves for reflection of tolerance of society, the state, social groups, individuals to manifestation of differences. The tolerance, besides tolerance, is characterized by stability, endurance, a tolerance. A specific place among types of tolerance is held by legal tolerance as which it is necessary to understand assumption of manifestations of excellent interests, values, aspirations, opinions, etc. However these manifestations have to have borders.
