Abstract:

The article deals with the most acute problems of social and economic development of individual regions of the North Caucasus. It is noted that the crisis has affected almost all areas of activity, but the problem solving in the labor market is especially relevant. It is proved that problems in the labor market today are the result of ineffective management policies in the period of formation of market relations and market itself in the regions. Disruption of production bonds, widespread privatization of large industrial complexes and the unprofessional actions of managers that followed, led to a decrease in demand for labor and an increase in unemployment. It is noted that it is not still possible to solve the problems of unemployment in some regions of the country. Moreover, the situation of many social groups becomes more complex from year to year. Such kind of situation can have painful consequences, especially in the North Caucasian regions. It is considered that along with the directions for improving the situation in labor market, it is necessary to balance requirements from the employers who impose qualification requirements to labor carriers, together with adequate assessment of the skills and abilities of carriers of work themselves.
