Abstract:
Abstract: This article draws attention to the importance of criminal law protection of citizens' electoral rights and the imperfection of criminal legislation in this area, which requires explanatory generalizations in relation to Articles 141-1422 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which are currently missing, in order to overcome and form a unified law enforcement practice. The role and significance of interpretative acts of higher judicial instances are investigated, the need for an official interpretation of electoral offences is revealed, and in conclusion a constructive proposal is formulated to supplement the resolution of the Plenum of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation dated 06/27/2023 No. 24 with relevant provisions.
