Abstract:
Axiology of education of the 21st century is formed taking into consideration many semantic contexts of modernity, different educational paradigms and philosophical approaches to understanding the aims and meanings of education. Social and political philosophy of communitarianism is being one of such contexts. The article analyzes the peculiarities of the communitarianism discourse and ideas that are important for articulation and comprehension of the contemporary education aims. The issue of relevancy of the communitarianism paradigm for forming the modern education axiology is examined.
