Abstract:
Need of updating of social and economic appointment of modern Russian labor unions and strengthening of their function of social protection of interests and the rights of hired workers becomes the extremely important problem in the conditions of strengthening of economic capacity of the country connected with creation and formation of socially focused market economy in Russia. Scale and complexity of tasks which face modern labor unions, according to numerous publications of scientists and known trade-union figures − Bashmakova V. I. Kiselyova V. N., Krestyaninov A.N. Petrova A.V. M. V. Shmakov, etc. cause need of judgment of their role for system of social protection of workers at the present stage of development of the Russian society. [1] ] Also is of interest to our work views of labor unions concerning influence of growth of economic efficiency of foreign authors E. Giddens and O. Uilyamson, etc. [2] At the same time, in our opinion, today it is possible to state shortage of scientific publications in which experience of activity of labor unions in aspect of social protection of workers would in a complex be analyzed. Methodology. System approach and structurally functional method of research of the Russian labor unions allows authors of this article to consider social and economic appointment of labor unions as institute of the social protection, urged to protect human rights in the sphere of work and social policy. Conclusions. And indicators of effective trade union activity is the exercise of the functions of social protection of the rights and interests of workers . However, analysis of the problems of social protection of employees shows that they do not have the desired impact on the socio- labor relations between employer and employee , which hampers the creation of a socially oriented market economy and social security system as a whole. In this regard, the unions acute problem of developing a new paradigm of social protection for workers in a market economy . The practical importance of research is defined by that the main ideas and provisions of article can be used for increase of efficiency of activity of labor unions in system of social protection of workers in the conditions of formation of the market relations.
