Abstract:
The biomedical approach to the problem of aging and achieving immortality needs serious sociocultural additions and limitations, since a sharp increase in life expectancy «explodes» all existing models and forms of realizing human potential. Ideally, the life expectancy should correspond to its fullness and meaning, and for this it is necessary to develop new social roles and functions for the elderly. Biological limitations on life expectancy are imposed, in addition to the already studied, recently discovered mechanisms of intercellular cooperation and competition.
