Abstract:

The author in the article, basing himself on the research of the subject matter of criminological science, notes the polemics around her developed into lively discussions about the expediency of expanding her subject area. The author considers the tendency of expanding the subject of criminalistics beyond the limits of criminal legal relations is not entirely justified, as for as a field of scientific knowledge it has always served the needs of the practice of combating crime. The unlimited inclusion in the subject of criminalistics of all areas where can find appliance for her achievements inevitably will lead to a crisis of science, a rethinking of her content side.
