Abstract:
The article is focused on the following subjects: the legal status of cybersport in Russian law, the analysis of different approaches of regulatory legal acts to the term “sport”, the logical and economical substantiation of necessity of establishing the status of cybersportsmen in Russian sports law, the substantiation of the necessity of correcting the order of accepting a certain activity as a sports type and inserting it in the all-Russian register of sports types. Also, the article offers information about the tendencies of foreign law in this sphere and gives recommendations to Russian legislators.
