Abstract:
The article deals with mediation as one of the institutions of civil society, which allows on the basis of voluntariness and reciprocity to carry out the resolution of disputes in various fields. Some reasons of non-proliferation of mediation in our country are characterized. The figure of the mediator is evaluated as fundamental in the mediation procedure. The changes in the legislation concerning the requirements to the mediator, as well as the procedure of checking the persons applying for the implementation of mediation activities for compliance with these requirements are proposed.
