Abstract:
Today, sadly, numerous extremist acts committed on the basis of national, ethnic and religious conflicts have become commonplace. Experts in various fields explain this primarily by the fact that we live in an era of socio-economic shocks, which generate a heat of emotions in society and conflict relationships models. There are rapid changes, people are affected by a barrage of information that requires understanding, there is an active population migration, mixing of different cultures, changing social values vector. It often has a painful effect on citizens, whether they are adherents of old traditions or ardent fans of innovation processes. Extremist relations and intolerance of dissent have a long tradition in society, but they are most acute in the context of current globalization trend. There is no reason to say that these socio-economic conditions themselves give rise to extremist manifestations, but they become a fertile ground on which hatred, hostility and xenophobia seeds grow. The danger of extremist activity as a type of criminal act, is that it is supported by an ideology that fills the voids formed in spiritual life of our citizens after the collapse of the Soviet Union, and the most vulnerable and receptive to these ideas are young people who exhibiting various asocial forms of behavior, including extremist ones. These ideas determined the relevance of this work.
