Abstract:
Goals of article: The article raises the problem of the absence of official translations of the ECHR judgments into national languages, as well as its impact on the uniform interpretation of the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms. The article analyzes the place of the ECHR judgments in various legal orders, and compares the approaches of the ECHR and the Court of Justice of the EU to ensuring "multilinguism" in their activities. Then there are ways to clarify the contents of the legal findings of the ECHR in the absence of an official translation in the framework of law enforcement activities in the Russian Federation. Method: The article uses functional, formal-legal methods of cognition and a method of state-legal modeling. When analyzing legal and theoretical sources, the method of comparative law is applied. Results of study: The absence of official translations is a technical problem, which, in turn, depends on the place of the ECHR judgments in the legal system of the state. The absence of an official translation of the ECHR judgments is one of the factors preventing the national courts from applying legal positions, therefore the idea of establishing an official translation base seems desirable in order to popularize the practice of the ECHR. The originality and practical value: this article is of interest to specialists in international and constitutional law dealing with the problems of the implementation of sources of international law in national order
