Abstract:
Judicial authority is attempting to bring a judicial investigation of criminal cases to the European and international legal standards of fair trial. The article analyzes one of the last legislative initiatives of the Plenum of the Supreme Court, aimed at strengthening the immediacy and orality trial. The author analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the draft Federal Law № 272128-6, and concludes that the prospects for modernization of the domestic proceedings in adversarial direction.
