Abstract:
This article is devoted to a new information currency - crypto currency. The author considers the history of creation, the concept, as well as the distinguishing mark of this type of finance. He shows the legislative consolidation of the status of virtual currencies in different countries. The author of the article highlights the official chronicle and the changing attitude of the state bodies of the Russian Federation to the crypto currency. The legal status of the crypto currency is shown in the Russian Federation with the help of the analysis. It possible ways of resolving the legal consolidation of the status of the crypto currency are suggested.
