Despite the large number of scientific literature devoted to the Communist party of the period of one-party system, issues related to the implementation of funding not received adequate coverage. The aim of this work is the analysis of the sources of financing the activities of the RCP(b)-VKP(b) in the first half of the 1920s. The subject of study are the sources of financing the activities of the RCP (b)-VKP (b). In the first half of the 1920s, the sources of financing the activities of the RCP(b)-VKP(b) was made by state funding, membership fees, it was impossible to cover all expenses of the party. Practiced various kinds of additional taxation of party members, including those not carried out in cash. In practice, the Development has also received indirect funding. In addition, party costs could be partly covered by and at the expense of economic entities - cooperatives, which consisted of party workers. The scientific results can be used in the preparation of textbooks on the history of Russian state and law. The article may be of interest to teachers and law students interested in issues of funding of political parties.
