Abstract:
The article examines the problems of dualism and contradictions of the modern nature of media, that predetermine the complexity of the legislative support of the information sphere. The mechanisms of legal regulation, that predetermine the activity of electronic media, are examined. Special attention is paid to the identification of conflicts that do not allow to realize and to observe the democratic standards of editorial policy of electronic media. In addition, in the work is defined the range of problems faced by the respective government institutions to prevent the monopolization of the rights to information by media.
