Abstract:
This article is devoted to the analysis of the influence of weather conditions on the formation of footprints. As methods, the study of literary sources, expert opinions, protocols of investigative and judicial actions, comparative analysis, experiment was selected. The importance of the influence of weather conditions on the process of collecting traces of shoes, including their detection, fixation and seizure is difficult to overestimate. Among the weather conditions, we include the wind, precipitation in the form of rain, hail, snow, fog and others. During the work of a specialist, information can be obtained about the time of formation of a trace, changes in the track that have occurred and influencing the process of their subsequent identification. Such information is of an orienting nature, but when properly used, can play a decisive role in the investigation and organization of the persecution of criminals "hot on the trail".
