Task: to develop approaches to assessment of the financing of the interstate programs directed on the increase of positions of the country in world ratings. Model: the authors develop an economic-mathematical nonlinear regression model that allows on the one hand − to estimate the necessary financing of the interstate program to increase the positions of the country in the world ratings and on the other hand - to estimate possible shifts in country's positioning in the ratings that occurs due to financing of research and development (R&D). Conclusion: the authors' approach to an assessment of financing of the interstate programs directed on the increase of positions of the country in the world ratings is offered as a result of the research. Value: this work can be applicable for an assessment of the financing of the interstate programs directed on the increase of positions of the country in the world ratings, as well as for the forecast of dynamics of positions of the country in the world ratings, proceeding from the financing of research and development
