Abstract:
This work shows that higher education institutions act largely as the business structures functioning in the market and under its laws. The authors distinguish external and internal preconditions for transformation of higher education institution into the entrepreneurial organization. The structure of the education services market and its specific features are given. The publication presents various approaches to determination of competitiveness of the higher education institution and defines the main directions in ensuring its competitiveness in the educational services market in modern conditions.
