UNDERSTANDING OF RATIO OF SCIENCE AND SOCIETY E. AGATSCI

In the article comprehensively analyzed the ideas of one of the largest Western experts in the field of the philosophy of science E. Agazzi on the problem of the ratio of science and society, which is one of the most relevant in modern philosophy. Conducted analysis the author summarizes the conclusion, that a whole series of ideas, formulated by E. Agazzi, is justified and deserves support. Specifically: the purpose of science is the search of objective knowledge; with the obvious dependence of science on society, it is largely autonomous; science is socially engaged, but not socially dependent; to solve the problems facing humanity, it is necessary to use not only scientific, but also other types of rationality.
