POLITICAL REVOLUTIONS AND ITS INFLUENCE ON SCIENTIFIC COMMUNITY

Abstract:
In article reveals diverse and contradictory aspects of influence of political revolutions on scientific community. On one hand, political revolutions can have a positive impact on development of scientific community, when are created new forms of organization of science, are offered new directions of scientific research, etc., but, on the other hand, political revolutions are often accompanied by arrests and even executions of scientists. Author of article justifies his conclusions on examples of Great French Revolution of 1789-1794 and October Revolution of 1917 in Russia.
