The article examines the concept of corruption as a social phenomenon in the society, given its characteristics from the point of view of different scientific approaches. The conditions for occurrence of corruption and the dynamics of its development. Analyzes the current anti-corruption legislation, its role in the system of measures to combat corruption. Presents a system of social responsibility for corruption offences. The estimation of the level of corruption proposed methods to combat this negative manifestation in society. Outlines the scope of issues that will achieve tangible results in the fight against corruption. Corruption as a major social problem of modern Russian society, requires a comprehensive approach. A change in legislation, the implementation of measures of a preventive nature and, of course, change the system of education in the sphere of counteraction of corruption will allow more successfully deal with the specified social phenomenon and to minimize the impact of corruption-generating factors on the development of society. The work can be used to further the socio-philosophical knowledge of corruption in the framework of independent research, promotes awareness of asocial behavior of this phenomenon and is intended for researchers and practitioners interested in the problems of combating corruption.
