Abstract:
The article deals with the formation of the basic principles and institutions of constitutional law in the teachings of the ancient Greek philosophers. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of Plato's and Aristotle's approach to the principles of legality, fairness, humanism, equality of citizens, democracy, separation of powers, protection of rights and freedoms. The author proves the thesis that the idea originated in ancient Greece, do not lose the theoretical and practical value in the context of cooperation between the state, society and the individual.
