Abstract:
In the article there are analyzed customary dispute resolution practices of the Mordvins. Mainly the topic is discussed on the base of example given by the materials collected in Zubovo-Polyansky district of the Republic of Mordovia. Customary law, as the result of centuries of experience of the people (ethnos), embodied his understanding of many legal views. In this context, synonymous with customary law can be considered the concept of "national (ethnic) law”.
