Abstract:
The article considers conceptual issues of creation of global systems of biometric registration of a person. A similar system both in Russia and abroad is aimed at solving problems, primarily in law enforcement. In addition, a single system of biometric registration can be implemented in the interests of a wide range of social problems related to migration processes, passport and visa activities and in other areas. The independent theme is the creation of a new generation of identity documents based on biometric technologies. In this area, coordination of efforts of different countries, including in the development of standards for biometric technologies, and in justifying general requirements for the structure and quality of the information to be recorded is required.
