Abstract:
In spite of Brexit the UK remains in the global information space, where security threats are constantly increasing. In the sphere of regulation of information relations in the Internet in the UK during the years of 2010-2016 dominated the General trend of expanding the powers of intelligence and law enforcement agencies in the sphere of control of the Internet in terms of collecting (receiving) personal data and correspondence for countering extremism and terrorism. Around the special bill The Draft Communications Data Bill was an active public and parliamentary debate. Critics of the project (the journalistic community, human rights activists, members of Parliament from the liberal democratic party) criticized the project because of the empowerment of human rights violations and doubts about the effectiveness of the use of police and security forces such broad powers, extended the law in November 2016, the Discussion allowed to identify problem areas, resolve the issue of additional financial burden Internet service providers and mobile operators.
