Abstract:
Objectives: The article is aimed at assessing the potential of the norms of professional morality as an institution for conflict prevention involving law enforcement officers. In this regard, an attempt was made to identify moral principles for preventing conflicts in law enforcement activities of the state, analyzed the norms of legislation and codes of professional ethics aimed at preventing conflicts in law enforcement. Materials and methods: The research was carried out by methods of analysis and synthesis, formal legal, system-structural, comparative legal methods in the study of scientific works on theoretical and professional and ethical issues, codes of ethics for civil servants of law enforcement agencies. The requirements of professional ethics aimed at preventing conflicts in the law enforcement sphere have a different degree of specification, both direct and indirect focus on conflict prevention involving law enforcement officers, act as an essential element of the system for the prevention of conflict behavior in the implementation of the state law enforcement function. Conclusion: The article may be of interest to students, faculty, researchers working on the issues of professional ethics, theory of law, law enforcement activities, prevention of legal conflicts.
