Abstract:
Pedagogical and psychological practice shows that children have recently become more violent and irreconcilable, the situation is getting worse every year. Thus, the number of murders committed with extreme cruelty by persons under the age of 14 is growing rapidly. The reason for this situation lies, first of all, in the socio-economic and political changes that have occurred in the world recently. The majority of minors do not accept general social values; they refuse morality, family, and school. In this regard, naturally, personality changes occur, negative character traits are formed, which, in turn, give rise to deviant criminal behavior. The article substantiates the expediency of the age differentiation of the criminal responsibility of minors.
