Abstract:
The purpose of the study. The article examines the positions and interests of the Russian Federation and Iran in the Syrian crisis; the problems of the influence of actors in the Middle East region on relations between Iran and the Russian Federation. The article analyzes the current situation in the Syrian conflict and Russian-Iranian relations; trends and prospects for the development of relations between the Russian Federation and Iran within the framework of the Syrian events. The purpose of the study is to establish and identify the role and significance of the Syrian conflict, as well as its impact on Russian-Iranian relations and their further development in the Middle East region. Conclusions. As a result of the conducted research, the author comes to the conclusion that Iran is a state that affects Russian-American relations in the context of the Syrian crisis. Regional actors have a considerable influence on the Syrian events, as well as the presence of Russia and the United States on the territory of the SAR. This is manifested in the open confrontation of the United States with Iran and its containment by all possible means. The author concludes that Iran expresses similar views with Russia in the context of events in Syria and supports the Assad regime, since Syria is one of the few regional partners.
