Abstract:
The shortage of scientists and research workers is a serious challenge facing the Russian economy. The shortage of scientists and research workers creates unfavorable conditions for protecting national security and effectively advancing the country’s technological development. The issue of effective media coverage of this issue is relevant in the context of current socioeconomic conditions. This article presents the results of a study examining media publication activity on the issue of the shortage of scientists and the replacement of research workers in Russian science from 2025 to early 2026. The study utilized a content analysis of publications in federal and regional media. It was found that the shortage of scientists and the replacement of research workers is not a major focus of the media.
