Abstract:
The article is devoted to a comprehensive theoretical and methodological analysis of key approaches to the study of theoretical approaches to the study of national and state identity. In this paper, we will consider in detail a set of theoretical and practical aspects of this issue. When writing the article, the psychological approach, the sociological approach, the philosophical and anthropological approach, primordialism, constructivism, instrumentalism, the psychological approach, the sociological approach, the macropolitical approach were used. Each of these approaches reveals national-state identity from its own point of view. The scientific novelty of this work lies in the fact that the research involves the development of a new conceptual framework, thanks to which, as a result of the research, we will receive new theoretical models or concepts explaining the formation and development of national and state identity, taking into account the totality of modern socio-cultural and political realities. Also, in the course of the study, we will be able to formulate recommendations on issues of supporting national and state identity in conditions of diversity and conflict. These conceptual perspectives allow us to explore national-state identity through the prism of the symbolic expansion of ethnic and cultural diversity, the development of new technologies for managing cultural space, the involvement of national associations in network communications, the transformation of traditional interethnic ties, inclusion in a pluralistic paradigm of socio-political development, as well as taking into account a wide range of features of national and ethnic composition of society. The conclusion is formulated that the considered approaches to understanding “identity” and “nation” substantiate the “multidimensionality” of national-state identity, the process of constructing which should be based on a harmonious combination of personal and social identifications and the strengthening of existing social ties.
