LEGAL CONTROL OF ACTIVITIES OF PRIVATE PENSION FUNDS

This paper explores the issues of legal control and supervision over the activities of non-state pension funds (NPF). Legal regulation of pension relations in the Russian Federation assumes presence of system of bodies of control and supervision designed to ensure the stable operation and steady development of the private sector in the sphere of pension provision. The author examines the system of state bodies authorized to exercise control and supervision over the activities of the NPF, much attention is paid to the study of self-regulatory organizations, which are assigned a large amount of authority in the regulation of NPF.
