Abstract:

The article presents the theoretical aspects of the level of inflation, its types depending on the quantitative index, its impact on the economic situation. Several variants of the existing mathematical models for calculating the inflation index are presented. The methodology of calculation of the consumer price index of Rosstat of Russia taking into account the type, number, population density and the area of the subject of the Russian Federation is analyzed. The analysis of the list of goods and services included in the calculation of the consumer price index based on the total number of goods and services, their distribution by purpose and belonging to the sectors of the economy.
