Abstract:
This article is devoted to the analysis of subjective portraits as a way of visualizing the signs of a person's appearance in the absence of objective data. As methods, the study of normative and legal acts, technical and software tools and procedural documents, comparative analysis, and experiment was chosen. The importance of the characteristic types of subjective portraits for the purposes of tracing and identification, the production of identification and identification, the registration and conduct of expert studies, verification of applications and reports of crimes and the identification of persons involved in their commission can not be overestimated. At the same time, they are orientational in nature, but when properly used, compilation methods can play a decisive role in the investigation.
