Abstract:
Corruption is undisputedly one of the most dangerous phenomena in the Russian present-day society. This social «illness» has become intertwined with all life aspects and is decomposing them from the inside. The negative impact of corruption crime affects all people in our country. There is much speculation in Russian and foreign literature concerning the fight against corruption, but by far not all the suggestions are sufficiently concretised and able to improve the current state of affairs. The author approaches corruption as a «service purchase and sale transaction» of some kind, which abides by the laws of market economy. Hence, as he points out, the main objective is putting pressure on the «price balance» of the bribes themselves in order to minimise the number of corruption «transactions». It is vital to increase the expenses of conducting illegal activity for bribe recipients, lowering the corruption «service» prices at the same time. Therefore, in accordance with the laws of market economy, the number of corruption relations will drop. In relation to the mentioned above, the author suggests a number of legal, administrative and social-economic measures to fight against corruption.
