The article analyzes the influence of the bank's reputation on the choice of consumers of banking services, delineates the concepts of the bank's reliability and its financial stability, provides the author's interpretation of the bank's reliability. The authors carried out a sociological study on the criteria for selecting banks, provides calculations on the basis of which conclusions were drawn and recommendations were made on the use of the non-financial component of the quality of banking services as a factor of competition.
