Abstract:
The necessity of forming an innovative model of economic development in the country in accordance with the tasks set in the May presidential decree is considered. One of the ways to solve them is the technological renewal of the domestic machine-building industry that meets the modern requirements of the innovation model of the economy. As a basis for this update, it is proposed to use the mechanism of conversion of the military-industrial complex to ensure the accelerated development of science-intensive, technological, resource-saving branches of modern manufacturing industries. The success of the program of modern technological renovation of Russian engineering industry is largely determined by reliable financial support, which will require the mobilization of funds from all sources of investment financing. However, the strict monetary policy pursued by the Central Bank, which maintains a high level of interest rates, makes it difficult for enterprises in the machine-building sector to access long-term bank loans, reduces investment activity, and impedes the country's breakthrough scientific, technological and socio-economic development.
