The purpose of the publication is to show the range of legal consequences associated with the introduction in 2019. in Article 15 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation of the concept of «serious negligent crime». Conclusions obtained during the study. The results of the study show that the current Russian criminal legislation has not fully taken into account the fact of the appearance in it in 2019. concept of «serious negligent crime». In this regard, it is advisable for the legislator to make appropriate adjustments to a number of criminal law norms in order to avoid the contradictions that are currently arising in their application.
