The reason for writing the article was the adoption of the Federal Law of 07.06.2017, № 120-FZ, which supplemented the Criminal Code with the Russian Federation with Article 152.1. The purpose of writing this article was a comprehensive study of a legislative novel that criminalizes the involvement of a minor in committing acts that are dangerous to his life (Article 152.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Materials and methods. The research was carried out in the field of criminal law. The analysis was subject to legislation, theoretical developments in the relevant field of criminal law, materials of officially published statistical information. Results. The formed results of the conducted research can be used in the further scientific development of the institutes of criminal responsibility for involving minors in socially dangerous activities. Conclusion. The results of the research can be used in law enforcement practice when qualifying acts under Article 151.2. The Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, when interpreting the concepts of «involvement», «declension», etc. Originality. The article is intended for judges, law enforcement officers, as well as for teachers, applicants for academic degrees and students studying the discipline «Criminal Law», «Workshop on the Specifics of Qualification of Certain Types of Crimes», etc.
