Abstract:
In the present work the author attempts to understand the international understanding of the term "Rule of law", used in legal documents of an international character. To this end, the author has studied the official documents adopted by influential international organizations, from which follows the promotion in their work the idea of the rule of law. The study noted that in the work of international organizations, rule of law and is used ambiguously. In the work of some international organizations, it is the highest ideal and good value to which they aspire, the second - principle and sphere of focus, in the third measure conduct and liability of subjects of international law in the fourth - European standard in the field of protection of the rights or judicial doctrine, the fifth criterion of the human dimension or the comprehensive concept of security. This situation leads to the conclusion that the term "Rule of law" is not uniformly interpreted in international law, respectively, in national law, it will have a different interpretation.
