Abstract:
Synthesis of investigative and judicial practice, the results of sociological surveys among the various categories of the population enabled the authors to identify the factors contributing to the persistent evasion of payment of maintenance for children or disabled parents. On the basis of the analysis of the determinants of persistent evasion of maintenance for children or disabled parents determined socio-economic, moral and educational and legal measures to minimize them. Particular attention in the article is drawn to moral and educational measures to prevent persistent evasion of maintenance for children or disabled parents. The preventive role of religion and national traditions and customs is shown. Some ways to improve the criminal law are suggested. Purpose: to identify some ways to improve the system of prevention of persistent evasion of maintenance for children or disabled parents. The following methods were used: content analysis and synthesis of investigative and judicial practice, sociological methods (survey, questioning, observation). Application results. The results can be used in the prevention of persistent evasion of maintenance for children or disabled parents.
