Abstract:
The article shows a criminological "portrait" of a participant of an illegal armed formation, based on a generalization of the materials of criminal cases, public opinion polls among the various categories of the population. The structure of the individual member of an illegal armed formation involves socio-biological, socio-demographic characteristics, socio-psychological and individual psychological data. Goal: make up criminological "portrait" of member of illegal armed formation on the basis of a comprehensive study, to reveal measures of counteraction to the process of transformation of the individual to a criminal of this category. Some sociological methods were used: method of inclusive observation, survey questionnaire to determine the values and self-motivation of a member of an illegal armed formation. The study used the methods of content analysis and synthesis of investigated materials and judicial practice. Application results. The results can be used in law enforcement to respond to the process of transformation of the individual to a criminal of this category.
