Abstract:
The article traces the history of the formation of the Department of civil and labor law of the Russian University of friendship of peoples and the creation of a multifaceted comparative legal research direction, which includes a whole spectrum of directions and vectors of scientific activities of the prominent Russian scientists whohave created significant substantive and procedural components of the civil law scientific matter.A kind of milestones in the development of national scientific legal thought were scientific works of outstanding scientists and heads of school Professor V. P. Mozolin, Professor O. A. Zhidkov, edited which were published collections of acts of foreign legislation (in particular, civil and commercial law of foreign countries) and were implemented in the educational process a new courses (Comparative law, Antitrust law).Professor V. K. Pucinski, the founder of the comparative approach to research and analysis of civil process, formed research area, covering the problem of justice in developed and developing countries.Scientific-pedagogical staff of the Department is currently implementing a broad program of comparative legal research in the field of private law. The article discusses directions of research work of the Department scientists, narrate about scientific works, published in the last few decades.
