Abstract:
The problem of the development of effective communication skills - a key in the modern professional-psychological preparation of employees of law enforcement bodies. Achieving successful anti-terrorist activities in general is impossible without effective communications between employees of relevant departments. The decision of the anti-terrorist units of the tasks required by employees mastering the basic knowledge and skills in communication management. Objectives. The aim of this study is to research anti-terrorist units’ staff professional communication in the aspect of interpersonal communication and offer ways to improve its efficiency in extreme situations. Proceeding from this goal, we set the following tasks: to examine the concepts of communication and communication skills; to identify the main factors influencing the interpersonal communication in an emergency situation; consider the problems of interpersonal communication process, employees of antiterrorist units in an emergency situation and provide basic directions of increase of its efficiency. Methods. The study used categorical, subject-object, system approach, the comparative analysis, synthesis and logic synthesis. Results. Using the results of research in the process of professional and psychological preparation will allow to neutralize the negative aspects arising between members of anti-terrorist units to optimize the process of interpersonal communication in extreme situations, and as a consequence, improve the efficiency of anti-terrorist activities. Presented in this paper, theoretical calculations have allowed to clarify the concept of communication skills, highlight interpersonal communication in a special form of professional communications staff antiterrorist units, indicate the main challenges to improve the efficiency of communication. Conclusions and Relevance. Application to practice recommendations in the process of professional and psychological training of anti-terrorist units, will optimize the process of interpersonal communication in extreme situations, and as a consequence, increase the effectiveness of the work units. The development of employees verbal communication skills will make the process of interpersonal communication more effective and efficient.
