Abstract:
The author raises the problem of the influence of the choice of potential voters on the formation of the personal composition of the candidates to the representative (legislative) bodies of power from the All-Russian political party "United Russia" by holding open primaries. Open pre-voting (primaries) is regarded as one of the main options for solving this problem standing before the party. Reveals the democratic potential of open primaries, analyzed its application, provides some recommendations for the improvement of its procedures.
