Abstract:
The goal of article. The article discusses current issues of the doctrine and practice concerning Universal Jurisdiction for international terrorism crimes . Method. The comparative method and general scientific methods used in this article. Results of study. In absence of the universal antiterrorism convention and definition of the international terrorism; sectoral regime of the different conventions; lack of universality of these treaties, Universal Jurisdiction will play the outstanding role in the strengthening of the mechanism of liability for suspected persons and termination of impunity for serious international terrorism crimes. Besides this, based on the notions of jus cogens and erga omnes, as well as acts of terrorism are regarded to be the threat of peace and security it must be concerned as responsibility of states. The originality and practical value. This article can be of interest for students, PHD-students, international jurists and everybody who is interested in international and criminal law.
