Abstract:
Objective: To investigate the causes that law enforcement agencies are facing at the initial stage of the investigation of human trafficking. Model: the research task was achieved on the basis of studying and analyzing the practice of investigating crimes of this category. Conclusions: the complexity and specificity of the objective side of trafficking in persons causes difficulties in proving this crime. At the initial stage of the investigation, problems of a different nature arise. And here, in order to overcome these problems, the main forces at the initial stage of the investigation should be directed to gathering the necessary information aimed at proving the fact of human trafficking, and the main methods of gathering information will be the operative-search activities and the testimony of victims and relatives. Originality / value: this research can be used by investigators in investigating trafficking in human beings, students of law schools when studying the discipline "Forensic science", as well as in further scientific research on this issue.
