ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL REGULATION OF THE STATUS OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT JUDGE IN THE REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA

The Institute of constitutional justice in the Republic of Macedonia has long historical roots, since it was established during the existence of the SFRY, which included the socialist Republic of Macedonia. At the same time, with the gaining of independence and the adoption of the Constitution of 1992, the order of organization and activities of the Constitutional Court of Macedonia has changed significantly. Currently, the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Macedonia is a republican body that protects the constitutionality and legality in the state. Its status and competence are regulated by the Constitution of the Republic of Macedonia and the Rules of the Constitutional Court. Constitutional judges are elected by the Assembly of Macedonia. As an independent constitutional body of Macedonia, the Constitutional Court has broad powers. The peculiarities of constitutional regulation of the status of the Constitutional Court judge in the Republic of Macedonia are the subject of this article.
