Political and organizational counteraction to development of waves of terrorism

The problem of terrorism has been and remains one of the most complex problems of the world level. The development of the waves of terrorism has a significant impact on national security, which makes it necessary to counteract this socio-political phenomenon. Among the set of measures taken to counter terrorism, an important role is played by political and organizational measures implemented through the country's criminal policy, as well as through the activities of state authorities and local self-government. The political basis for countering terrorism is realized through the state's criminal policy, which represents the direction of the purposeful activity of the state in the fight against crime, in particular, the fight against terrorism. The main goal of the criminal policy is to identify ways and methods to confront the global threat of terrorism, to develop, on the basis of an objective assessment of the events, specific measures to combat it.
