The Problem - the scientific-methodical and organizational problems of investigation of crimes related to violation of the order of forest management in the Russian Federation. Reviewed and given recommendations on specific areas of investigative and forensic activities. Ways of increase of efficiency of disclosure and investigation of crimes of the specified category are designated. Ways of improvement of separate investigative actions are developed. Model-Methodological basis of the work was made by General scientific, private scientific and special methods of research, including methods of ICI-dark-structural, comparative legal and statistical analysis. Conclusions - Issues of legal, scientific and methodological, organizational regulation of investigation and disclosure of crimes related to violation of forest management in the Russian Federation are the most urgent issues in the field of legal proceedings, on which depends the observance of the legitimate rights and interests of citizens, organizations and the state. Research framework/ possibility of subsequent use of the results of scientific work a Number of provisions of the work can serve as a basis for further development of scientific research in criminology and forensic examination. Practical significance - Individual conclusions of the work can be used in law-making activities, in the practice of litigation, in the educational process of law schools. Social consequences - the introduction into practice of the developed proposals will increase the level of crime investigation and, accordingly, the level of legal proceedings in Russia as a whole. Originality / value - The paper proposes new provisions on some types of forensic examination, shows ways to improve the effectiveness of the investigation, which will have a beneficial impact on the functioning of investigative bodies, courts, as well as on the process of training in higher education institutions of the legal profile.
